I am a mum to three amazing children, two of which attend St Columba’s Catholic Primary School. I enjoy this role immensely. I want the best learning environment for my children and that of their peers, and hope to fulfill this aspiration in my role as governor.

I currently work for the Local Authority mentoring and supporting young people that are receiving education in Alternative Provisions. This also involves working together with their teachers, mentors, parents and other agencies such as social services. I am a Designated Safeguarding Lead in this role.

I have over 10 years of administrative experience as well as a background in finance. In previous roles, I have processed invoice payments, created logging spreadsheets, created debt monitoring procedures and monitored various team budgets. I hold a Level 1 counselling qualification, level 1 mentoring qualification and volunteered for 12 months as a Bereavement Support Worker. I achieved my psychology degree whilst working, becoming a mother to, and caring for, two of my children and experiencing a close bereavement, so I am well versed in working under pressure. I hope that my skills and experience can complement those of my colleagues on the committee.

In my spare time, some of the things I enjoy are sewing, painting and decorating, spending time with my family and organising sports days for the wider family.
