18 May 2011 - Belgium Blog

Mrs McAleenan. Mrs Southerton and Miss Durkin have arrived safely in Belgium and will be posting pictures and information on here during their visit. Lets hope they get a good picture of Smiley Bear with his girlfriend Carribear!

 Hallo from Tisselt!

We are having a great time here and  have had a tour of the school. The children really enjoy their learning here, like at St Columba's, and sometimes even plan their own lessons! Smiley Bear has met his friends however Carribear is unwell in France and is feeling a bit sad. We are working very hard and as a special treat we are going to be taken up  St Rumbold's Cathedral which has 500 steps at least!!!

Mrs McAleenan, Mrs Southerton, Miss Durkin send you all their love!!!!!!

We are missing you all dearly. We will send another blog tomorrow.

 p.s The weather is awful!!!!!

This is Tisselt calling! It was lovely to see some of you today via skype!

We have been designing a questionnaire so we can see how much you all know about Europe.

We had a competition amongst all of the schools to create a common symbol to show how we can be more eco friendly. They have now been chosen and will soon be seen around the schools involved in the project.

Smiley bear from top of the cathedral tower!

The visit to the Cathedral was beautiful! It helped us to keep fit, taking some of us longer than others to get to the top (not mentioning any names) and the view was fantastic!

On Sunday we will be going to mass there, which we are all really looking forward to!

This is Red House at Klim-Op. They are the oldest in the Nursery and are 5 and 6 years old.

This is Class Four who are the same age as our Year 5. They have been learning about Anne Frank.

Hope everyone is well at school and can't wait to see you all next week.
