Welcome to St Columba's Catholic Primary School

My name is Mrs Linda Southerton and I am the Principal of St Columba's.

St Columba's is part of the Lumen Christi Multi Academy Company (MAC) with St Brigid's, St Joseph's, St James', St John Fisher , St Thomas Aquinas, St Thomas More and St Paul's. As a MAC we are all committed to developing Catholic education in our schools.

We are a Catholic school with Christ’s teachings of love, peace and justice at the heart of all we do.

We believe we have a true family feel and our staff continually strive to ensure our pupils show the teachings of Jesus in the way they live their lives. St Columba's is a good school with brilliant staff, fantastic children, supportive parents and School Standards Committee Representatives. We are a happy school with a great team of dedicated staff who are here to ensure your child reaches their full potential.

We strive for excellence in all teaching and to foster an enjoyment of learning.

The global pandemic has of course brought challenges but we are proud of how we have responded and the provision we had in place during lockdown. We are delighted to be fully open again in September with the removal of the staggered starts and finishes. Parents will have the opportunity  to once again come into school however as we are all aware, things can change quickly and we will always keep parents informed about any changes.
