We’ve had a wonderful first week back in Reception! The children have settled in beautifully and shown great enthusiasm in their learning.
This week, we introduced our new story: The Three Little Pigs. The children have enjoyed exploring the tale and learning fun and fascinating facts about pigs. It’s been lovely to see their curiosity and creativity shine through in our activities.
In our topic lessons, we’ve started our new theme: Transport. We kicked things off by learning all about road safety, helping the children understand how to stay safe when out and about.
Reminder: Monday is Odd Socks Day—please send your child in wearing odd socks to help us celebrate diversity and kindness as part of Anti-Bullying Week.
Well done to all our Reception children for a fantastic start to the half term!

We’re looking forward to welcoming you all back tomorrow!
We hope you’ve had a wonderful half-term break and can’t wait to hear all about it.
This half term, we’ll be learning all about transport and reading the story The Three Little Pigs.
We’re excited for what promises to be the best term yet — the countdown to Christmas begins!

Reception have had a busy week!
They have enjoyed reading our book Peace at Last and joining in with the line, “Oh no! I can't stand this!”
We designed our dream homes, linking to Mr Bear's house — lots of children drew treehouses!
The children sat beautifully during Year 2's Mass and joined in with the songs.
Finally, we finished off the week learning about the seasons.
Well done, Reception!

The children have had a very busy week at school this week. We have been learning about our families and our class saint. Here are some songs Reception have been learning and practising this week. Enjoy learning these at home.
