Thursday is World Earth Day. This year's theme is:
'Together we can restore our earth.'
On Thursday, children in EYFS and KS1 will be making commitments to how we can look after our world.
In KS2, pupils will be taking part in a long sustainability project particularly relating to water conservation.
As a family, please talk about this over the next few days and how you as a family might try to be more conservation aware.
Thank you for your support.

Year Four Art
We have been thinking about Kensuke's and Michael's lives on their deserted island and how, although they are sad and missing their families, they have built up a beautiful friendship. The artwork we have produced this term is a green landscape which they may have experienced every day.
During this art project, the children have fine-tuned their blending skills using oil and chalk pastels, thinking about how the sun radiates energy. They have practised their sketching skills using graphite pencils and thought about reflection and shadow, again using different shades of pastels and correction pens.

We have received a lovely comment from a parent regarding home learning which staff really appreciated.
"Thank you for your support. You are doing such a difficult job and I don't think the media are giving teachers the praise and thanks they deserve. I have to say that you and the rest of the staff are doing a fantastic job. Thank you."
I would like to say thank you so much to this parent, and to all parents, for the fantastic support you give to the school. The teachers are doing an amazing job in extremely challenging times, as are all staff in school, as we just want the best for your children.
