Hello everyone,
The children are working extremely hard, particularly in RE lessons. Please support your children at home to complete the Rights and Responsibilities project for this half term and upload any photos of their work onto our class Padlet.
Please continue to support your children with reading every day, spellings and weekly homework.
Next week we look forward to our Lumen Christi celebration day on Monday and a visit from the musician, Jo Boyce on Thursday.
Many thanks for all your continued support.

Good morning everyone,
Welcome back to the start of a very snowy Spring Term. I hope that everyone had a very good Christmas and may I wish you all a Happy New Year!
We have lots of exciting work ahead of us this term and I can't wait to get started.
Just a quick reminder, please ensure that your children are reading every night and that you sign the diary and that homework is completed weekly and handed in on Mondays.
Spellings tests will continue to take place on Monday, although this week's will take place today. The spellings are written in the children's reading diaries, so please practise these with them regularly throughout the week and you can also see there scores in the diary from the previous week.
Finally, P.E. will continue on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and we are hopefully developing our skills in tennis and netball (weather permitting).
If you have any questions, please chat to me at the end of the school day on the playground.
Many thanks for all you support so far this academic year, and once again, may I wish you all a Happy New Year!

Hello everyone and welcome back to another busy week.
Firstly, thank you to all the parents who attended parent consultation meetings last week and I hope you found them useful. Those who were unable to attend, I will call this week to update you on your child's progress.
The class page has now been updated with the new dates for spellings and homework, so I hope this provides clarity on what is due and when.
Finally, reading is the gateway to education and opens up a world of opportunities for your children, so thanks again for all your support at home in hearing your child read and please continue to do this.
Have a great week!

Welcome back to everyone and I hope you all had a great half term. We ended last half term with a wonderful pilgrimage to St Thomas Aquinas. The children had a great time and represented our school really well.
Our RE Inspire workshop has been rescheduled to this Thursday at 2:30pm. I look forward to seeing as many parents as possible.
Letters this week are for Choir, Netball and parent consultations. Please complete these and return ASAP.
Thanks
Mrs Raymond

Hello everyone,
What a fabulous couple of weeks we've had. The children have been working incredibly hard and producing some wonderful work. We are really having a big push on handwriting at the moment and reminding children to use cursive and joined handwriting. Well done everyone - you are trying really hard with this.
Thank you to everyone who has brought in some items for our harvest festival on Thursday 16th October 2025; please continue to bring in any tins, packets or other dry goods that can be donated to our local St Vincent De Paul (SVP) group.
Upcoming Events
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our RE inspire workshop last week and this has been rescheduled to this coming Friday 17th October.
Please can I also remind everyone to bring in your One Life Retreat permission slips for Thursday 23rd October 2025. Children are leaving after lunch for this event and should be collected from St Thomas Aquinas School (STACS) at 4:30pm. If you are unable to collect them from STACS, then we have managed to arrange a coach to bring them back so that they can be collected from school at 4:45.
And finally, a reminder that Friday 24th October is an INSET day and school will be closed for all children.
Thanks for your continued support.

Year 5 had an excellent week last week. Highlights included Bollywood dancing, learning how to use coordinates to locate countries on a map, finishing our addition and subtraction unit, learning more about Annie Edson Taylor and her dare-devil adventure over Niagara Falls to name just a few. Throughout the week, the children have been reverent and respectful in all elements of Catholic life and led our whole school celebration of the Word on Wednesday - their singing continues to be a shining example of their faith in action. Well done Year 5!

Hello Year 5. Congratulations on an excellent start to upper Key Stage 2 and I am confident that this will continue throughout the year. Thank you for a most holy and reverent Mass this week - as usual your singing and responses were outstanding. Have a good weekend!
