St Columba’s is a Catholic school with Christ’s teachings of love, peace and justice at the heart of all we do
Curriculum
All year groups in school follow the Archdiocese of Birmingham scheme of work entitled 'Learning and Growing as the People of God.' This is a progressive scheme building on the skills and knowledge acquired in previous years. Each year group teaches a range of units of work which cover Scripture, Sacraments, Living as Christians and the Liturgical Year. This ensures that all children cover a wide range of units throughout each year group. Religious Education is taught for at least 10% of curriculum time.
Each term, your child's curriculum map on class pages will detail the Diocesan Strategy Units being covered in class to support you so that you can complement the academic and spiritual journey your child is engaging with at home.
