  It has been so lovely welcoming our children back to school for the new term and looking so smart in their Summer Uniform. We hope they have all enjoyed their first day back.

  We have been blessed with such beautiful weather and this looks set to continue all week! Please apply sunscreen before your child leaves for school and ensure they have a suitable hat to wear to protect them from the sun.

  Let's hope this lovely weather is here to stay!

• Reception Places 2021

  National Offer Day - 16 April 2021

  • You will be sent an email informing you which school has been offered. The email will name the school your child has been offered on 16 April 2021 which you should receive by 4pm - the exact time will depend on your email service provider. Please check your SPAM or Junk folder.
  • Please do not contact Birmingham City Council before you receive the formal notification of your child’s school place. You must be in receipt of your formal notification email before contacting the council. You may contact School Admissions if you have not received your email or letter by 19 April 2021.
  • You will only need to inform us by 30 April 2021 if you are refusing this offer. Details of how to do this will be included on your offer email and letter. If you do not refuse the offer, the school will update their records to show the offer has been accepted.

  By refusing the offer, you will lose the place as this will be given to a child on the waiting list for that school.

  By not refusing the place offered and therefore accepting the offer, this will not affect your child’s waiting list position for any of your higher preference schools, or influence the outcome of any appeal you may submit.

  Waiting lists

  Waiting lists will be created 3 weeks following the offer of school places.

  Your child’s name will be automatically added to the waiting list for any higher preference schools than the one offered.

  Being on a waiting list does not mean that a place will become available.

  More information about waiting lists will be available after National Offer Day.

  We are so excited about seeing all our pupils tomorrow. We know that your child may be nervous and this is completely understandable. Please do not worry as we will be doing all we can to make the return to school as positive and enjoyable as possible. Remember we are always here for each and every one of you.

  We’re going back to school; we might feel sad to say goodbye,    But friends are just like sunshine – they will help the tears to dry. We’re going back to school; we might feel nervous at the door,   But joy will soon take over when we see our class once more. We’re going back to school; we might forget a rule or two,           But soon we will remember as we gently talk them through..                We’re going back to school; we might not say that we are scared, But don’t forget: a problem gets much smaller once it’s shared. We’re going back to school; we might have grown-ups who are new, But we will get to know them and they’ll get to know us, too. We’re going back to school; we might be facing things unknown, But doing them together means we’ll never be alone.                  We’re going back to school, where we will laugh and learn and play, Then head back home for cuddles once we’ve had a lovely day

  Secondary School Offer Day

  You have submitted an online application for your child’s secondary school place.

  As you will be aware, secondary school places will be offered on Monday 1 March 2021.

  This update is to provide you with some useful information about the process and point you to additional support that will be available online.

  As you applied online, you will be sent an email informing you which secondary school has been offered to your child.

  Emails will be sent on Monday 1 March 2021, and we expect that you will receive your email by 4pm. 

  The exact time will depend on your email service provider.

  You will also receive your child's offer by letter from 2 March 2021.

  Please do not contact Birmingham City Council before you have received the offer of a school place.

  The School Admissions team will be unable to inform you which secondary school place has been offered to your child by phone or email.

  You must be in receipt of your email or letter before contacting the School Admissions team.

  You may contact School Admissions if you have not received your email or letter by Friday 5 March 2021.
