Friday Catch-up (14.11.25)

This week we took time to remember those we have lost, including the soldiers who gave their lives for their country. It has also been anti-bullying week, and we have celebrated it by wearing odd socks and talking about how important it is to be inclusive.

The children have done really well this week with their learning, especially when multiplying fractions in maths. We also started our non-fiction writing unit, based on the book, 'Can we save the tiger?'.

Friday catch-up (3.10.25)

We've had another great week in year 6.

In reading, we continued to read 'Street Child' and answer different types of reading questions, focussing on putting lots of detail in our answers.

In English, we have finished writing our narrative - I'm so proud of the children for their perseverance on such a long write!

In maths, we have spent a lot of time on multiplication and division, and we will continue division next week.

In RE, we are working really hard at making links between or lesson focuses and our prior knowledge, as well as using the motto, 'Jesus says . . .so I will . . .'

We have also been busy in our other subjects: we have practised our spoken French; showed off our street dance moves in PE; started drawings using linear perspective in art and looked at global data maps in geography, just to name a few!

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Tibbatts
